Asbestos In Materials Scheme assesses the performance of laboratories carrying out the identification of asbestos in bulk materials.
Amosite, chrysotile, crocidolite, tremolite, anthophyllite and actinolite in various matrices such as lagging materials, insulation board, flooring materials and cemented products. The scheme has the advantage that it includes both common and less common forms of asbestos.
We have been participating to AIMS since 2012, getting a good result for each round performed.
The table below report all rounds assessed, showing that F.lli Lauricella Laboratory has a very good skill on asbestos fibers identification.
Score value reports all the mistakes detected from the result analysed. Zero means no penality, so 100% success.
HLS consider good assesment when total score is less then 39.
